A Mother’s Day Concert – The Indus Sings

On Sun May 10th,  Step into a world where lyrical storytelling, classical cadence, and Bhakti &  Sufi mysticism intertwine to evoke deep emotion, ancestral memory, and spiritual devotion. This immersive candlelit experience brings together tenderhearted vocalists and masterful musicians who will guide you through a moving journey of love, longing, and gratitude, rooted in the poetic traditions of the Indus Valley. The Indus Sings is a celebration of love in its most expansive and spiritual form. In the cultural heartlands of the Indus, the idea of “Maa” transcends the biological, it is an embodiment of compassion, strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. These values are beautifully reflected in the Sufi and Nawabi traditions that inspire this evening’s repertoire.

Whether you are a connoisseur of Hindi, Urdu, Sufi or Punjabi poetry, or experiencing its magic for the first time, this evening offers a deeply resonant experience. With a delicate selection of poetic works and live classical instrumentation, the concert honors the universality of a mother’s love…a love captured in the ideals of Suradbhav -Samp – Ekta ( elevated thinking for solidarity and connection )  Mohabbat (love), Rehmat (blessing), and Shafqat (tenderness).

Join us for a night where words sing, music speaks, and the echoes of heritage come alive. Let the poetry embrace you, and celebrate the mothers who shape our lives with devotion, grace, challenge and boundless love.

The Indus Sings – Concert at 6:30pm, seating at 6pm
