The Consulate General of India in Vancouver has planned to organize a series of NAMASTE CANADA 2023 DANCE WORKSHOPS.
August 11, 2023: Free Workshop on Bharatnatyam
Vismaya Dance Academy offers Bharatanatyam, a Sangeet Natak Akademi-recognized Indian classical dance genre. South Indian religious themes and spiritual notions are often expressed through Bharatanatyam.
Jayalakshmi Ravindra began practicing Bharatanatyam at five and subsequently improved her studies under Sri Jai Govinda.
In the workshop, participants will not only learn the dance form, and the skill of storytelling with their hands, legs, eyes, and heads but also dress up in costumes and jewelry.

August 12, 2023: Bollywood & Semi Classical Workshop
Join for an enjoyable Workshop for Bollywood dance and Semi classical steps. We will also be doing basics steps for those who are beginners. This workshop helps you for developing your interest in dance and make your body flexible. The workshop will focus on basic movements in Bollywood and Semi Classical dance, with an emphasis on ‘Adaa’ meaning expression.
