Namaste Canada is an Indian cultural event that celebrates the rich and diverse heritage of India in Vancouver, Canada. The event is organized by Consulate General of India (CGI), Vancouver and various dance groups, Indian Cultural Associations & community groups participate in it on volunteer basis. The event typically includes a range of Indian cultural activities including music, dance, and art. Namaste Canada is attended by people of all ages and backgrounds.
The event provides a platform for Indo-Canadians to showcase their cultural heritage and promote cultural understanding and appreciation among the wider Canadian community. More than 25 groups including cultural associations, societies, and dance troupes participated in Namaste Canada 2022 where 1,000 plus members of the Vancouver Indian Community attended the free event. This year the event Namaste Canada 2024 is going to take place on August 31, 2024, just before the labor day long weekend.
Neeraj Kumar, founder of India Cultural Association (ICA) Of Vancouver said Namaste Canada is a wonderful initiative by CGI Vancouver which provides a platform to all the groups which represents different states of India in Metro Vancouver to showcase rich & diverse culture of India.

The first event of Namaste Canada was organized in 2016. The Consulate General of India, Vancouver in cooperation with over 20 Indo-Canadian Associations and cultural societies in BC hosted a day-long cultural event “Namaste Canada 2016” on Sunday 4, September 2016.
